One inconvenient aspect of Creately is that to change or cancel your account, you need to email the company. With the Team Plans, you can make as many diagrams and projects as you want, and you get unlimited sharing and collaboration support as well. Access for a group of 10 users costs $45 per month or $449 per year, and there are other price points for other license packages. The online Team Plans start at $25 per month or $249 per year for 5 users, which is a reasonable low fee. With the free account, you also cannot import or export any of the file types most people need, such as Visio, SVG, or XML. For example, all diagrams you make with the Public account are (you guessed it) publicly available to anyone who goes looking for them. The restrictions are too tight for anything more. There is also a free option, called Public, but it's not realistic to think you can use it for anything much more than trying out the service. With these plans, you can make as many diagrams and projects as you want, share your projects with up to 5 reviewers, collaborate on diagrams with up to 5 people, and get priority support via email. The Personal online plan costs $5 per month or $49 per year. There are also two pricing options for the online app: Personal and Team Plans. For example, a pack of five licenses costs $349, and a 10-license pack costs $649. There's another option called Desktop for Teams, which is priced by the number of licenses you purchase. The desktop app, called Desktop Personal, costs $75 for individuals and is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux machines. Pricing and PlansĬreately is available as a desktop app and a Web app. While Creately is a fine choice for a diagramming app, it isn't as impressive as Lucidchart or SmartDraw, the PCMag Editors' Choices in this category. It doesn't have the richest library of templates, but it does have an attractively low sticker price. Because it offers real-time collaboration, multiple people can work on the same diagram at once. It's available as a cloud app and desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Creately is fine alternative that costs less but still delivers on the promise of making diagram creation simple. Microsoft Visio may be the best-known diagramming app, but it's expensive.
